PDP Jandor and Labour Party Gbadebo Rhodes are in talks to form an alliance.

Elders of the two parties are leading the discussions regarding the potential alliance.

As the discussions progress, it appears that there is a hurdle that needs to be overcome, according to source severity

BAMITOLA MEDIA reports that there is an ongoing move between the gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour to form an alliance with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

It was gathered that ahead of the March 11 gubernatorial election, the meeting is being spearheaded by some elders of the two parties.

Sources reveled that there is a hurdle to be crossed as the discussion continues. The hurdle has to do with who to step down between – Abdul-Azeez Adediran popularly known as Jandor of the PDP and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party.

The Labour Party is reportedly banking on the success it recorded in last Saturday’s election.

NAN earlier reported , there is an existing personality rancour between Jandor and Rhodes-Vivour when the Labour Party candidate was until June 2022, a PDP member.

Prior to Jandor’s emergence as the PDP candidate, Rhodes-Vivour had to stepped down for him with the hope of emerging as his running mate. But Jandor opted for popupar Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, which reportedly irked Rhodes-Vivour who subsequently cross carpet to Labour Party to claim the governorship ticket.

Meanwhile, Rhodes-Vivour has confirmed talks with the leadership of the PDP in the state.

The Labour Party candidate told his supporters in Lekki area of Lagos that discussing with the PDP became necessary to forge a common front against the APC in the governorship poll slated for March 11.

“We are talking to the owner of the structure of PDP. In the coming days, we will align with them to ensure that we take Lagos to the next level,” Guardian, on Friday, quotes Rhodes-Vivour as saying.
