THEY ASKED ME WHY I AM SUPPORTING BAT…

.

  1. Anyone who has been following Nigerian politics since 1999 who is not today’s wannabe who only reliies on gibberish these social media influencers are feeding him with will be well acquainted with how former president, Olusegun Obasanjo used to deal with any politician in his black book. If you are not today’s kid, you should know Obasanjo didn’t establish EFCC with good faith but majorly to shut up his political enemy. Baba Iyabo was in control of his government to a large extent not because he was a good man but because he was a tough man (I am still coming back to that)

Back to how Ẹbọra Owu used to hunt down his political enemy, Senator Rasheed Ladoja road to impeachment started the day he openly against Obasanjo’s third term bid. Either guilty or witch-hunt, Tafa Balogun, the then IG was nabbed majorly not because he was corrupt but because he disobeyed Obasanjo. Alamesiagba was arraigned as a sitting governor despite being in the then ruling party, PDP. James Ibori was jailed. Atiku, the then VP was rendered useless.

However, there was an emperor in the state of Lagos who was a glare enemy of Obasanjo then. He ruled Lagos actively as opposition governor for good eight years and despite being known enemy to Baba Ọta to the extent of denying him federal allocation for sometimes, Ẹbọra Owu had no corruption case to nab BAT with. The same tsunami of corruption allegation which blew governor Alamesia of ruling party away was not enough to nab Ọkọ Rẹmilẹkun. Why would it anyway? If you come with clean hands, you will be so confident to seek equity.

Don’t just be a social media ranter being fed with gibberish to act on emotions, be a student of history. We are using our 24th year in democratic government. Alamesiagba was convincted as a governor of ruling party, James Ibori was arrested, Atiku can not visit America unless as senate president’s entourage😍 due to alleged corruption cases, Okorocha despite being in APC presently is having issue with EFCC but there is one Jagaban of Africa who served as active opposition for 16 years and is now in ruling party for the 8th year who doesn’t have a single corruption case traced to him. As at today, anybody who is saying Tinubu is corrupt is doing so due to poverty mentality that believes any rich politician must be corrupt not because of any proof of corruption allegation against him either by PDP in 16 years or APC in 8 years.

  1. GOOD MAN CAN’T RULE NIGERIA, TOUGH MAN CAN.

Nigeria is a country full of cabals and wolves. Nigeria is full of tough big guns who need a tough leader to deal with. Obasanjo was sponsored to become a president by cabals then with the hope of turning him to puppet but he ruled his government and succeeded to a reasonable extent because he was a tough man himself, not because he was a good man. If we are talking of a good man, GEJ was/is complete gentle man with good intention for this country but sadly, being good is not enough to rule this nation, it takes being tough. Nigeria ni wọn npebi. Ilu kan bi ilu Jogbo. Without sentiment, we all knew GEJ’s intention was good for the nation to some extent but he had no balls to deal with the wolves who surrounded him. It is just 20% good news to have a leader with good intention, it is 80% good news he has the charisma to carry out the good intention.

Tinubu was an undefeated emperor in Lagos for good 16 years as an opposition. Not even the tough Obasanjo could bring him to his knees by any means. He denied him federal allocation for some moments and BAT still ruled Lagos efficiently. That allocation was later paid when Fashola became governor and it contributed to his success to large extent.
Anybody following my post in recent months will know I was a supporter of Atiku. Deep inside me, I was saying to myself, “It is glaring BAT is not an outright anointed candidate of PMB. If he could weather all storm to emerge as APC flagbearer, he would have convinced me as the “tough” man with balls we need to rule Nigeria, then I will switch my allegiance” and guess what! Jagaban did not just win the primary election in grand style, he won my heart as well.
