It was a gathering of some leading lights in the society from all walks of life at Okebadan Estate, Alegongo Akobo, Ibadan, the country home of Chief Mrs Yemisi Oni-Hassan this Friday to felicitate with her on her birthday, where they turned out to honour and eulogise the retired Permanent Secretary in the Oyo State Civil Service.
She was described as a godly woman who has over the years exhibited unrivalled passion to contribute her quota to the development of her State during her active days in the Public Service and humanity at large. She was described as a mother figure to many children in the State and beyond due to her virtues of honesty, generosity, kindness, peace, patience, contentment humility and diligence. She is indeed God’s precious gift to the State.
Chief Mrs Yemisi Oni- Hassan is no doubt a woman of many parts. Her simple life and dynamic way of empowering the downtrodden, giving hope to the hopeless, providing jobs for the jobless, providing shelter for the homeless coupled with her transparency, openness, truth and grace makes her one outstanding personality worthy of emulation and reference. It is indeed the mercies of God that has kept her waxing stronger and aging with grace.
In her words, the celebrant thanked God Almighty for sparing her life to mark another year on earth. She promised not to relent in her efforts to help humanity and champion the cause of the girl child and widows in the society.
