Prince Kola Asanike: Oba Ladoja Destined to Rule and Reign

Prince Kola Asanike, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a philanthropist, has extended his congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland. He describes Oba Ladoja as “a man destined by providence to rule and reign.”
In a statement issued to the media, Prince Asanike remarked that Oba Ladoja’s ascension to the esteemed throne is a testament to his resilience, statesmanship, and exceptional service to the people of Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
He highlighted the new monarch’s extraordinary journey—from businessman to Senator of the Federal Republic and then Governor of Oyo State, culminating in his current role as Olubadan of Ibadanland—as evidence of divine orchestration and the fulfillment of destiny.
“Oba Rashidi Ladoja has always been a leader of the people, whether in politics, public service, or community development. His enthronement as the Olubadan of Ibadanland is not only historic but also symbolic of the confidence that God and the people have in his ability to lead with wisdom, fairness, and dignity,” Prince Asanike stated.

The APC stalwart expressed optimism that Oba Ladoja’s reign will strengthen peace, unity, and progress in Ibadanland. He emphasized that Ibadan is fortunate to have a monarch who combines political experience, cultural depth, and a commitment to development.
“The throne of the Olubadan is a source of pride for the Yoruba nation. With Oba Ladoja at the helm, Ibadanland has a ruler who understands governance, values culture, and prioritizes the welfare of his people. His reign will undoubtedly bring prosperity and renewal to our land,” he added.

Prince Asanike urged both indigenes and residents of Ibadan to support the new monarch and his vision for the city’s continued growth. He also prayed for Oba Ladoja to enjoy a long, peaceful, and impactful reign.
“On behalf of my family, political associates, and all those whose lives I have touched through my philanthropic efforts, I congratulate His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on this historic milestone. May his reign be long and glorious,” he concluded.
