Cheers as Tinubu, Shettima grace #RenewedHopeConcert in Abuja
There was jubilation in the early hours of Friday as the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, and his Vice, Kashim Shettima, among other dignitaries, appeared at the Renewed Hope Concert staged at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, to show support to their beloved youthful fans.
Upon the announcement of his arrival, Tinubu, who alongside Shettima wore fez caps, waved his right hand to the cheering crowd of supporters who appeared thrilled by his arrival.
In a 32 seconds video posted on Twitter by one Ayo Oyalowo, the energetic youths were heard chanting leader! leader!! leader!!! as the emcee announced Tinubu’s arrival.
Using his handle, @AyoOyalowo, he wrote, “When IDAN himself made an appearance at the #RenewedHopeConcert.”
Other dignitaries include The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, among others.
In4mationplug had reported that leaders of the youth wing of the All Progressives Congress, including Tinubu’s son, Seyi, announced the show to celebrate young people for their contribution to the party’s victory during the general elections.
The Chairman, Renewed Hope Concert Media Committee, Ademuyiwa Taofeek, had in a statement, said the event was planned as an inclusive celebratory activity for young people who contributed to the party’s victory.
“It is an inclusive celebration of young people across the country who knocked on doors, persuaded friends, braved great risks, and stood firm to ensure the safe delivery of the Renewed Hope agenda of our next President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu,” the statement said.
