Lampard Reacts To Todd Boehly Storming Chelsea Dressing Room
Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly made the controversial news early when he stormed the Blues’ dressing room to address the players.
The move came as quite the shock on social media to which Chelsea goal keeper, Kepa Arizabalaga and Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard had to react to.
According to Frank Lampard it shows passion on the owner’s side.
BAMITOLAMEDIA reports that Frank Lampard, the interim manager of Chelsea, has said that he has no problem with club owner Todd Boehly addressing the players. This comes after Boehly slammed the squad and branded their season “embarrassing” after their 3-1 loss to Brighton on Saturday, leaving Chelsea in 11th place in the Premier League.
Speaking ahead of the Champions League clash against Madrid on Monday, Lampard stated that he had “no problem” with Boehly visiting the dressing room and speaking to the players.
Lampard expressed that he had already addressed the team after the defeat to Brighton, but if the owner wants to come in and speak to the players, it is no problem for him.
The Chelsea boss praised Boehly for showing passion and being positive with the players. He added that modern-day football makes it very regular for owners to come in and speak to the team.
The comments from Lampard come as he looks to steer his team through a tough run of fixtures in the league and Champions League. Chelsea faces Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals on Tuesday, while they will be up against league leaders Manchester City next week.
Lampard, a Chelsea legend himself, was appointed as the interim manager of the club following the sacking of Graham Potter. The former England midfielder is highly respected at the club, and his comments are sure to be welcomed by the Chelsea faithful.
